Writer's Guidelines

Writer's Guidelines for
Youth and Christian Education Leadership magazine

Youth and Christian Education Leadership is a 32-page magazine published quarterly by Pathway Press: Spring; Summer; Fall; Winter.

Purpose

Youth and Christian Education Leadership is written to inform, inspire and instruct Christian education workers. This includes Sunday school teachers and leaders, youth pastors, children's church leaders, music personnel, Christian education directors, pastors and outreach workers.

Philosophy

Youth and Christian Education Leadership focuses on intentional acts of Christian education wherever they might occur: in the home, in the sanctuary, during church fellowships, in the church classroom and anywhere else Christians influence other believers for the cause of Christ. We lift up the following means of Christian education:

  • Modeling How mature Christians can set an example of Christian living through personal involvement with those whom they serve.
  • Discipling How Christians can win others to Christ, help them solidify their faith, and guide them into Spirit-filled living.
  • Instructing How church teachers, parents and pastors can creatively teach the truths of the gospel.
  • Incorporating How Christian education occurs when the body of Christ (all ages included) worships together: through the sacraments, testimonies, songs, giving offerings, praying for spiritual needs, reading Scripture, the operation of spiritual gifts, and so on.
Approach

We are interested in the following types of articles:

  • Features highlighting successful Christian education ministries of particular Pentecostal congregations.
  • Features about individuals or groups who are advancing Christian education through distinctive ministries.
  • Practical how-to's giving nuts-and-bolts guidelines for effective ministry.
  • Testimonials about the impact of giving or receiving Christian education.
